Your Insurance Policy Coverage
The coverage will be categorised into two (2) plans i.e for Malaysian Student and International Student. You may refer to [Our Services -> Insurance Plan] for detail scope of coverage.
Your coverage plan will be renewed on a yearly basis subject to your study status and arrangements made between the Insurer and UPSI. Your membership status will be cancelled in the master policy upon receiving notification from Bursary office that you are no longer an active student.

General Enquiry
For general enquiry, claim documents submission and claim status, please contact Student Affairs Department at 05 – 4507148 / 7146/ 7131/ 7109 / 7026 for assistance. Alternatively, you may contact Etiqa Agency representative at 012–614 4052.

Hospital Admission (For International Student)
For International student, You are no longer need a medical card for hospital admission as Etiqa is going cardless. Just present your identification document (passport) and inform the hospital you are covered by Etiqa! The hospital will then perform a verification and process your Guarantee Letter (GL) request. This procedure is only applied for admission in Private hospital.
In addition, please download our Etiqa+ App to your mobile phone to view your healthcare benefits and monitor the GL or claim status. The guide on how todownload the apps is available in this website.

Change of Passport No.
For International student, to avoid any difficulties during hospital admission, please advise International Office (IO) as soon as possible if you have changed your passport number, so that the IO can advise us to update in our records.

Reimbursement Claim
Any claims such as medical reimbursement claim, daily hospital ward allowance must be submitted to Student Affairs Department within 3 months from the date of treatment.

Nomination Form
You are advised to fill in the Nomination Form, whereby the Person(s) named in the form shall receive the takaful benefits including accumulated amount in the Participant Investment Fund as an Executor.
